Should we expect the revolutions that started in Tunisia and Egypt to arrive here into the United States?
I think it's insulting to the people of Tunisia and Egypt to compare the American poor to their poor. Yes, there are many Americans living without hope under the poverty line, but I would bet that the poorest of them have no idea what it's like to live in utter poverty on the streets of Cairo. Marx said that the people would rise up when there were enough of them being victimized. That hasn't happened yet in the US. If you can still afford to get a happy meal (even if it's bad for you) you likely won't rise up to overthrow your generally well-meaning government.
