Im really confused..Dating In Islam Question.?

I love my boyfriend to bits. I havent done anything physical with him or anything but I truly love him and he fortunately feels the same. He isn't practising yet but is currently seeking knowledge and encouraged me to wear a Hijab and to pray. I know Dating is Haram in Islam, i fully understand that but we want to be together and still follow our deen. Our parents dont know that we're together but when we both turn 21 InshaaAllah, we will let them know and plan the wedding. Im just confused to be honest.. :S Is it still wrong if our intention is to get married? What is Islamically the best thing to do in this situation?
